"Waiting On" Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted by Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.

TITLE: Dreamless (Starcrossed # 2)
AUTHOR: Josephine Angelini
EXPECTED PUBLICATION: May 29th 2012

Synopsis from Goodreads:

As the only Scion that can enter Hades at will, Helen descends to the Underworld in search of a way to overcome the Furies and end the cycle of revenge that has cursed the Scions. But she’s running out of time. Each descent weakens her both in mind and spirit. A mysterious stranger might be her only salvation, but the price may be her love for Lucas Delos.

As an unforgettable love triangle emerges, Josephine Angelini’s compelling saga becomes ever more intricate and spellbinding. The eagerly awaited sequel to the internationally bestselling Starcrossed, Dreamless delivers with a huge emotional impact that will leave readers satisfied—and longing for more.

Intriguing! I wonder who that new character will be.

Starcrossed
by Jesephine Angelini

SYNOPSIS from Goodreads:
How do you defy destiny?
Helen Hamilton has spent her entire sixteen years trying to hide how different she is—no easy task on an island as small and sheltered as Nantucket. And it's getting harder. Nightmares of a desperate desert journey have Helen waking parched, only to find her sheets damaged by dirt and dust. At school she's haunted by hallucinations of three women weeping tears of blood . . . and when Helen first crosses paths with Lucas Delos, she has no way of knowing they're destined to play the leading roles in a tragedy the Fates insist on repeating throughout history.

As Helen unlocks the secrets of her ancestry, she realizes that some myths are more than just legend. But even demigod powers might not be enough to defy the forces that are both drawing her and Lucas together—and trying to tear them apart.

Favorite Quotes:

Music Friday! #1 (11/25)

One thing about me besides carrying book anywhere i go is that i love music.
I usually fall in love with music has nice lyrics and good  symphony, even though it has nothing to do with the state I'm currently in. Falling inlove with a song just because.. :)

When i hear a song i'm not familiar with, i listen very hard, trying to get what it means, and if i liked it, i search for it.

I must admit, i haven't been updated with the latest songs right now because I've been busy with personal stuffs and reading. But i will share some songs and the bands that i really like from now on , and whatever's in my music playlist.

TITLE: All I Need
BAND: Within Temptation
ALBUM:"The Heart Of Everything"
Favorite Lyrics:
"Don't tear me down for all I need
Make my heart a better place
Give me something I can believe"

Sounds familiar?
Well if you've been an avid fan of VD, they used it on one of their scene. And yeah, i screamed when i heard it.

ALL I NEED LYRICS
I'm dying to catch my breath
Oh why don't I ever learn?
I've lost all my trust,
though I've surely tried to turn it around

Can you still see the heart of me?
All my agony fades away
when you hold me in your embrace

Don't tear me down for all I need
Make my heart a better place
Give me something I can believe
Don't tear me down
You've opened the door now, don't let it close

I'm here on the edge again
I wish I could let it go
I know that I'm only one step away
from turning it around

Can you still see the heart of me?
All my agony fades away
when you hold me in your embrace

Don't tear me down for all I need
Make my heart a better place
Give me something I can believe

Don't tear it down, what's left of me
Make my heart a better place

I tried many times but nothing was real
Make it fade away, don't break me down
I want to believe that this is for real
Save me from my fear
Don't tear me down

Don't tear me down for all I need
Make my heart a better place
Don't tear me down for all I need
Make my heart a better place

Give me something I can believe
Don't tear it down, what's left of me
Make my heart a better place
Make my heart a better place

Waiting On Wednesday 11/23

"Waiting On" Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted by Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.

TITLE: Shadow of Night ( All Soul's Trilogy #2)
AUTHOR: Deborah Harkness
EXPECTED PUBLICATION: July 10, 2012

Shortly after Diana Bishop and Matthew Clairmont timewalk to London, 1590, they discover that the past may not provide a safe haven after all. Reclaiming his former identity as poet and spy Matthew Roydon, the vampire falls back in step with a group of radicals known as the School of Night who share dangerous ideas about God, science, and man. Many of his friends are unruly daemonsn - the creative minds of the age who walk the fine line between genius and madness - including playwright Christopher Marlowe and mathematician Thomas Harriot. Matthew, himself, is expected to continue to spy for Queen Elizabeth, which puts him in close contact with London's cutthroat underworld.

Together, Matthew and Diana scour the bookstalls and alchemical laboratories of London where they follow the elusive trail of Ashmole 782 - and search for the witch who will teach Diana to control her powers.

I fell in love with it's first book, A Discovery of Witches, and it's my favorite book this year so far so it's no wonder i anticipate the release of it's second book next year.

It's Teaser Tuesday! (11/22)

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading.

I've been raving about how much i love this book! So i hope you will too, after reading this teaser!

A Discovery of Witches by Deborah Harkness
p. 41

"They're not interested in me Dr. Bishop. They're interested in you."
"Why? What could they possibly want from me?"
"Do you really not know why every daemon, witch, and vampire south of Midland is following you?" There was a note of disbelief in his voice, and the vampire's expression suggested he was seeing me for the first time.

    In My Mailbox #1

In my mailbox is a weekly meme hosted by Kristi at The Story Siren
Each week we share the  books  that we bought, received, borrowed etc.  You can do one week out of the month or every other week it’s up to you.

So i try to join as many giveaway hops as i can to win books(thank you to all amazing bloggers for their giveaways!). But most of my books comes from my own pocket. Once a week or some days in a month, i personally go to the bookstore checking out books which sometimes takes time.

I'm so excited to share my very first In My Mailbox.

    What I bought:
    1. BDB Lover Unleashed(mass paperback)
        by J.R. Ward
This was released earlier this year but had to wait for the paperback because of tight budget! I love the Brothers especially V, which i heard, his POV is mostly part of this book!

    2. LoTUs: The Darkest Surrender (mass paperback)
    by Gena Showalter
A must! after reading Lover Unleashed, this will surely be my next to read!
    Been excited for Stridey's Story!

    3. The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer (Mara Dyer #1)
    by Michelle Hodkin
I've heard a lot of good reviews about this one. The story is interesting. Waking up from an accident without any recollections about what happened!

    4. The Girl in the Steel Corset (Steampunk Chronicles #1)(Hardcover)
    by Kady Cross
When the teller told me this is the only copy they have left, i grabbed it right away!(because it might take them awhile again to order this book). This is my very first Steampunk read so i'm kind of excited to read this. Love the cover!

    5. Blood Rights (House of Comarré #1)
    Kristen Painter
This was a random pick up. I love Vampire tales and i didn't have any clue about the author or haven't read reviews about this book, but I'm hoping it'll be worth it.

And I also have some magazine  subscriptions...

Show Gratitude for Books and Win 19 Signed YA Books

Photo of Milford Sound in New Zealand!

Beth Revis, the author of ACROSS THE UNIVERSE is having a HUGE giveaway!

    That’s right!

She’s giving away 19 Signed Books plus goodies to one lucky winner! All you have to do is is create a post in which you tell everyone the one book you are most grateful for.

Check her website for more info here>>> Beth Revis

After i first read the post, i stared at the ceiling, which i usually do when i think really hard. It made me think….One book? It’s hard to choose just one when you have a lot to choose from. But finally, i was able to select one which is…..

    The Vampire Academy

    by Richelle Mead

How and why did i choose this book?

I was able to narrow the selection of books into one by answering these questions.

What got me into reading? Which book got me into reading?

And the answer is Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead.Vampire Academy is a great book. It may not be the best for some and it’s old by now, but this book means a lot to me. Before, i read just to pass the time, like when you are bored. So i read what i can pick up at the house: newspapers (doesn’t matter old or new), shopper’s magazine, academic books, showbiz magazines. I had 5 books i kept reading over and over again just to pass the time.

When i picked up Vampire Academy at our local bookstore, i had no idea what to do with it. If i’ll ever finish it or not. But when i started reading it, i couldn’t put it down. I felt the excitement on each pages, stayed up late at night just to finish it. It started with one book and now i have more than hundred. I discovered other authors with the same genre’s, and then discovered other genre’s and most of all i discovered other book lovers , bloggers. Interactions between authors and bloggers are the best by far. My book reading became an obsession. Now i can’t leave the house without carrying one or else i will feel like something’s missing.

Beth Revis, thank you so much for this. Grateful for making this post. You made me remember how it was before and now.Thank you to all Authors for all the books you’ve written that we all enjoy and all the book bloggers who shares the same passion!
